Preety Kamala was born in Nizamabad and moved to Hyderabad where she currently resides. She completed her graduation in Mass Communication and Journalism at St Francis Degree College for Women. She completed multiple internships at TV9 and Teja News and has been working for the last 16 years. Preety joined the SpinSci team in October 2022 as a Product Owner for Patient Assist.
Tell us one extraordinary thing that you have never done and would like to do?
I would like to try bungee jumping and travel in a private jet at least once in my life.
What are a few of your favorite hobbies and interests?
I like to travel a lot – I travel at least once in three months. I also love watching and reading murder mysteries or suspense thrillers. 🔍
What kind of music do you like?
I like 90s Telugu and Hindi music.
What cuisine do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy Hyderabad cuisine the most – my favorite dish would have to be Hyderabad Dum Biryani.
Do you have any pets?
No but I’d love to have a cat as a pet.
Who has been your inspiration in life?
My mother would have to be my biggest inspiration because she is extremely joyful, confident, and resilient through life’s toughest times.
What do you like about SpinSci?
I like alot of things – I like the collaboration within teams and that everyone gives their 100%. In Hyderabad, it doesn’t feel like a company because the people are very close to each other like family. Everyone is approachable and are always willing to help you out.
What do you think makes our team culture unique?
What makes us unique is that we are very close to one another but are professional when it comes to work.
Something about yourself others don’t know?
I lead Youth Carecell on most Sundays for the young members residing in and around my place.
What is your favorite movie?
My favorite movie is Few Good Men which is a court drama with Tom Cruise as the lead character. The movie has excellent attention to detail and the change in plot was fascinating to watch.
Where’s a place you’d like to visit?
I’d like to visit Norway and see the Northern Lights, Scotland for the beautiful scenery, and lastly the countryside of England.
If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?
If given the chance, I’d love to be the President of the United States and experience what it’s like to live in the White House for a day.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
I drink about 5 cups of Chai tea everyday. 🍵🫖
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
I absolutely do not enjoy cooking because I don’t have the patience to wait for my food to cook.
What’s one of your biggest pet peeves?
My pet peeves are people that speak too loud and those without good hygiene.
