This month, SpinSci Technologies was proud to be a sponsor of the Disruptive Innovators Inaugural CIO Winter Forum. The exclusive event included over 75 CIOs and IT thought leaders in the digital healthcare space from all over the world sharing their impactful insights on the future of healthcare technology, right in the heart of New York City. The three daylong event was meticulously planned and allowed leaders to share best practices, network with one another, discuss strategies for success, and collaborate on ideas all in an effort to improve the future of patient care and digital health. 

The panels consisted of emerging and innovative topics such as fostering innovation despite a struggling economy, Digital Front Door strategies from both a patient and clinical perspective, predicting and preparing for  ransomware and cybersecurity attacks, and the criticality of nursing perspectives on digital strategies. 

In a conversation guided by John Chelico, Chief Medical Informatics Officer at CommonSpirit Health, Patrick Woodard, Chief Digital Officer at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, Takaji Kittaka, Chief Transformation Officer at Adena Health System, and Maulik P. Purohit, Chief Health Information Officer at Lehigh Valley Health Network, the panel expressed their thoughts on what the value of “systemization” is and how to find common ground. The subject brought to light how economies of scale and a standardized data model with a single set of tools and definitions can help drive value. Today’s leaders have to become more data literate in order to better drive operational improvements, and technologies need to create a more frictionless experience for patients. The healthcare industry is challenged by having to sell services to their customers at trying times and with consumerism changing healthcare, organizations must make it easier for patients and allow them more control over their own workflows. Patients are engaging in different ways, and their relationship with their providers is also changing, making it more important to leverage technology to engage patients via their preferred communication channels. 

SpinSci’s Vice President of Marketing & Business Development, Nick Kagal, and Vice President of Sales, Ashvin Asava, also had the opportunity to take the stage with Upland Panviva to share cutting edge developments in contact center focused knowledge management.
