Lucas Lozano attended the University of North Texas and received his associates in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. He started his career working in the food industry as a data analyst and has been in tech for 8 years now. Before SpinSci, he was a delivery manager in Insurtech. Lucas joined the SpinSci team in June 2022 as a Customer Success Manager and transitioned into a Delivery Manager role.
Fun Facts?
I’m a fish and wildlife sustainability enthusiast. We have to make changes in what we’re doing and how we’re interacting with our environment to leave a better future for later generations. I’m specifically interested in keeping the wildlife environment clean and documenting diseases in fish populations.
Tell us one extraordinary thing that you have never done and would like to do?
I’d like to go to space, work in space, and live in space. Jobs we have now will eventually be prevalent in space.
What are a few of your favorite hobbies and interests?
Some of my hobbies include bee keeping, fly fishing, and photography/drone filming. On the side, I use drones to shoot real estate videos, do roofing inspections, doing habitat documentation, and checking quality of areas in where fish live. I also filmed all the awesome basketball tournaments for SpinSci.
What kind of music do you like?
I enjoy listening to folk music, blues, rock-n-roll, and local music.
What cuisine do you enjoy the most?
I like Vietnamese cuisine – specifically pho, bánh mì, and spring rolls.
Do you have any pets?
I have a 13 year old yorkie poo named Bella who I inherited from my grandfather.
Who has been your inspiration in life?
My dad has been my biggest inspiration in life.
What do you like about SpinSci?
Most places I’ve worked will tell you that there’s limitless opportunity and that you get what you put in, but that’s not always been my experience. With SpinSci, however, every bit of work I’ve put in has been recognized and as a young professional, you can’t ask for more out of a work environment.
What do you think makes our team culture unique?
What makes our team culture unique is that everybody really takes the time to leverage each other’s strengths and help each other grow within the team.
Something about yourself others don’t know?
I grew up on a farm and have been thrown off of a horse over 10 times which led to me breaking all the toes on my right foot.
What are your dreams and your aspirations in Life?
I don’t have my own immediate family, so my dream in life is to have my sister, brother, father, and mother not have the worry of stressing over money anymore.
What is your favorite movie?
My favorite movie is The Devil’s Rejects. I’m not usually a horror fan but the movie had many turns to it which really intrigued me.
Where’s a place you’d like to visit?
I’d like to visit Murano, Italy as it is known as the glassblowing capital of the world.
What’s one item you can’t live without?
I can’t live without water. Remembering to stay hydrated has not only made my mood better but also my health.
What is one thing about SpinSci you wish the whole world could know?
You don’t have to settle for a terrible boss and a horrible work environment. Keep the search up for an uplifting boss and a place that allows for opportunities – I found this at SpinSci.
