Rakesh Barla was born in Paidi Pally Village in Warangal district and attended a Scholars High School. He completed his post graduation in Hyderabad for Computer science which is also referred to as M.tech. Rakesh joined the SpinSci team in December 2014 as a Trainee Software Engineer and grew into his role as a Solution Architect.

I’m a huge tea lover – I love to drink tea at every hour, at midnight, and even after having a beer.
Tell us one extraordinary thing that you have never done and would like to do?
I would like to try scuba diving and see what the world is like in the ocean. I also want go to the Amazon Forest because as a child, we learned about how the Amazon has a lot of interesting bugs, animals, and plants. In addition, I grew up watching movies and YouTube videos about it so after seeing the beauty of it, it made me want to see it for myself. 🌳
What are a few of your favorite hobbies and interests?
My hobbies include playing cricket, dancing, and learning about new things such as technology. When a new technology is announced at SpinSci and I am not a part of the product, I’m still enthusiastic to learn about it as well as the market trends.
What kind of music do you like?
I like Telegu 90’s classics and melodies. I particularly enjoy music from Ilaiyaraaja, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Janaki, and Chithra.
What cuisine do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy Hyderabad biriyani, allo fry, and chicken curry. When I visited the U.S., it was during the pandemic so I didn’t get to go out and explore the food scene. I did, however, enjoy the pizza Rajit would cook for us. 🍕
Do you have any pets?
No, but my kids love dogs so I would like to own one in the future.
Who has been your inspiration in life?
I have many but first is my father – I look up to him. When I was younger, I learned from him that we can live with whatever we may have.
What do you like about SpinSci?
My entire career journey has been with SpinSci so throughout my years, I can say that when a new hire joins, they always have a great opportunity to learn. We are like a family and you have access to speak and colloborate with the entire team. In SpinSci, you work on every aspect of the business – you get a 360 degree insight into the products, customers, etc.
What do you think makes our team culture unique?
There are no bosses – it is like a family which sets us apart from other companies. Everyone works together to bring the company success.
Something about yourself others don’t know?
At SpinSci, people know everything about me. But when I was an intern, I published a few journal papers related to my post graduation and security. One I wrote was “Efficient and Secure Data Sharing By Applying AES Algorithm with Anonymous Id Assignment” which you can actually find on Google.
What are your dreams and your aspirations in Life?
My dream is to start my own business that is not related to software – I want to focus on food and educational institutions. Right now I am a partner at a school in my village and work alongside other people.
What is your favorite movie?
My favorite movie is Rangasthalam which is a village drama. I cried so much when watching it for the first time because it was so relatable and is still something that happens to this day. It shows how Indian villages were in the 1980’s.
Where’s a place you’d like to visit?
I would like to visit Africa, especially the safaris and the Amazon Forest.

Everyone makes themselves easily accessible, and we are able to gain knowledge from one another that can be carried forward. For example, one person joined only knowing one coding language but upon leaving, they left as a full stack developer.
What is one thing about SpinSci you wish the whole world could know?
If you want to have any integration related to healthcare, SpinSci is there and we can do anything and everything.
If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?
If given the chance, I would like to be my father, my wife, and my child. I just want to experience and understand their thoughts, expectations, needs, and wants. If I were them for a day, I would know what I could do to make them happy.
If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I would eat bread omlette for the rest of my life as it is something I can cook very easily and quickly.
