Ryan Boettcher was born in Delaware where his dad had been in the Air Force and retired after 32 years. When he was 4, he ended up moving to Germany, then to Egypt, Kenya, and Morocco. He never went to school in the U.S. until college where he attended UTSA and received a BBA in Cyber Security. Ryan joined the SpinSci team in October 2021 as a Customer Success Manager.

I had my own Ted Talk when I was in the 5th grade where I spoke about expressing themes through art.
Tell us one extraordinary thing that you have never done and would like to do?
I would like to visit all 63 national parks in the US.
What are a few of your favorite hobbies and interests?
I enjoy fitness, watching hockey (I’m a big Dallas Stars Fan), going to local craft brewerys, and art. I also enjoy snowboarding as I’ve been going every year since I was 4. I love puzzles and trivia – I watch Jeopardy! on the daily.
What kind of music do you like?
I love Jazz music – I grew up playing the saxophone and guitar when I was younger. I also love EDM music – one of my favorite festivals was Freaky Deaky because of the good music and I enjoyed seeing the Halloween costumes that everyone wore.
What cuisine do you enjoy the most?
I’m going to have to go with Vietnamese cuisine. My favorite foods are pho and bhan mi.
Do you have any pets?
I used to have a ferret in college, and now I have a 7 year old shitzu named Hercules who is missing an eyeball.
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
I hate dusting because no matter how much I dust, theres still dust. One time I swept the whole apartment and 3 hours later there was dog hair everywhere.
Who has been your inspiration in life?
My dad because he’s instilled alot of morals into me that I appreciate. He’s made me very well rounded and helps me see the world in a different view from all the traveling we’ve done together.
What do you like about SpinSci?
I’ve had alot of opportunity to learn just everything – I’ve held a Customer Support Specialist role, Implementation Engineer, and a Customer Success Manager role. The variety of roles I’ve taken on have made me very well rounded and I’ve gotten to dip my feet in every single business aspect of SpinSci.
What do you think makes our team culture unique?
I’ve never had better friends from the people I’ve met at SpinSci. All the employees are very cool and great people.
Something about yourself others don’t know?
I still have a baby tooth because I was born with no tooth underneath it!
What are your dreams and your aspirations in Life?
I would like to visit as many countries as possible. I’ve already started with my family and now that they are retired, I don’t want to stop traveling.
Where’s a place you’d like to visit?
I’ve never been to Mexico. Alot of my friends are from Mexico and they talk alot about the cool things there. I want to go to the rural parts of Mexico and try hole in the wall restaurants, not the resorts and beaches.
What’s one item you can’t live without?
I would say my kettle because I have tea every morning. I love tea – recently I’ve been enjoying black tea with honey and ginger.
Why SpinSci? Share 1-3 sentence on your personal mission and how SpinSci helps fulfill that mission:
The amount of innovation that comes out of SpinSci is pretty incredible. I think that the market we’re in is very valuable. There are alot of different solutions out there but SpinSci hits the nail on the head.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Singing very loudly in the shower. I’m not the best singer but when I’m in there it’s like a concert.
